Yes, easytag is really powerful, but not that easy to use. To use it,
basically you have to select a track (or some tracks), then type the
information you want about those tracks on the right side panel and then
save the changes pressing Ctrl+S. That's it.

If you want to use something like FreeDB for tagging your music, just
select the songs *in the exact same order as they appear in the album*, go
to one of the menus, then select CDDB search and click on search.

It will show you the matches for the album. Select one that seems sane
(i.e., with complete information, including year, genre etc). Select the
button to apply the changes, close the CDDB search and save the changes
with Ctrl+S.

That's the modus operandi of easytag. I think that you can pick up the rest
with this micro-introduction to easytag. It is really powerful. I'd say
that it is the Emacs of song files tagging.

Addictive, especially when used with iTunes and an iPod. Amazing.
