I like using gmail for high-volume lists because I get a very
targetted google search through the mail archives (which, granted, I
could also achieve with site:lists.debian.org). It's also nice to
have the second account separate from my "normal" account, and the
2082MB (and still growing) of storage doesn't hurt, either.

I've suggested adding better mailing-list support, but I didn't get a
response. That might have been due to server problems that hit around
then. Whether the folks at google saw my suggestion or not, it
doesn't hurt for more people to request the same feature. Better
threading would also be a good request. I believe their threshold for
adding a new feature is if 20% of their users want it, or if it seems
like a really good idea to them.
