Which is a good way to handle it. However, I have posted several times this
weekend (I believe the response indicated the party would be gone until
Monday or Tuesday), and I only got the one response. After that, I sent a
polite e-mail saying something like, "If you're still there, the
autoresponder is responding to everyone who posts to the DU list, and you
might want to turn it off now." I didn't get a response to that, so I think
the autoresponder is intelligent enough to only respond 1x to each e-mail
address.
If that's the case, I don't see a reason to complain. I just thought I should
add that I had the same thing happen, but it only happened once, which I did.
If I get a slew of responses on Monday, when the office opens again, I might
do as you suggest.
