mdadm RAID array disappears on reboot
debian / sarge / testing
mdadm Version: 1.9.0-2.1
Hi,
I built RAID5 array with mdadm and that went partially well. The array was
created and functioned well until the box was rebooted. On any reboot the RAID
array disappears and cannot be recognized until it is reassembled with "mdadm
--assemble".
Once array is reassembled it again functions well, until the next reboot.
# cat /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf
ARRAY /dev/md0 level=raid5 num-devices=3
UUID=bf83863b:a8bafec0:572233db:f8753364
devices=/dev/sda,/dev/sdb,/dev/sdc
# cat /var/log/syslog
...
Apr 4 23:05:38 srv07 kernel: md: md driver 0.90.0 MAX_MD_DEVS=256,
MD_SB_DISKS=27
Apr 4 23:05:38 srv07 kernel: md: md0 stopped.
...
the above appears *BEFORE* SATA HDs used by the RAID array are recognized by
the kernel
I've seem messages with similar problem but no solution.
Thanks in advance
