I can't speak for NVIDIA's platform drivers, but...

The stock "forcedeth" driver works fine for me for integrated networking
support (for 100 Mbit, haven't tried 1 Gbit). I'm reusing a Sound
Blaster Live PCI card from an older system, so I can't help you there.
