I did try swsusp2 a couple of times but it didn't work for me. I'll use it 
once Linus makes it into the main kernel tree.

I think swap partition size could be one reason. My swap size is 512mb and I 
hibernate my entire desktop session running KDE, Konqueror, Kontact et 
cetera. Maybe it runs out of space.

But that shouldn't be the reason because as I mentioned in my previous post, 
on every reboot I'm able to hibernate and on the next attempt I'm not. Maybe 
the previous image isn't deleted from the swap partition.
