I use swsusp2, have 1 GB RAM and 1GB swap.

I have NEVER seen an hibernate image larger than 700MB.

Usual size is around 250MB.

Maybe this could be ok also with tour setup.

Another thing: the swsusp2 developer is talking about a "filewriter" function in the next release.

Maybe you would want to check swsusp2 ...
