Browser movement obstructed with Xinerama display.

I have recently installed sarge using 20041201 i386.iso to boot with,this
continued with a network install lasting around 6 hours using ADSL.
I had a lot of trouble setting up Xinerama (to do with No_Hal and using mga
driver).
I am now using the XF86Config-4 file from my last installation of 20040717
i386.iso.
I find that the behaviour of xinerama has changed under the latest 10041201
installation.
Previously I could move a fully expanded terminal or konqueror display from
one screen to the other.
Now I have do reduce the size of the terminal screen to get it to move across
to the other display,and then re expand it.(This annoying thing happens under
windoze and I was happy that linux didnt have this snag)
Now it seems a new "feature" has been introduced to make linux more like
windoze :-(
Please what can be done to return to the previous less restrictive behaviour?
