question on hotplug/udev

Fighting to use my Palm Tungsten :)

The device is recognized ONLY when I press the hotsync button. Normal ?

udev seems to map the Palm to TWO devices:

/var/log/syslog:Feb 21 18:31:30 localhost kernel: usb 2-1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB0 /var/log/syslog:Feb 21 18:31:30 localhost kernel: usb 2-1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS converter now attached to ttyUSB1 /var/log/syslog:Feb 21 18:31:30 localhost udev[6283]: creating device node '/dev/ttyUSB0' /var/log/syslog:Feb 21 18:31:30 localhost udev[6284]: creating device node '/dev/ttyUSB1'

Why ?

Can someone give an hint on how to configure the palm to a device called /dev/palm or similar ?

Grazie.
Bob
