OK first of all apologies to Ernst-Magne for sending this message to
him directly (oh the irony). My excuse being that I recently switched
from Mutt to Evolution and I'm still learning how to use it properly.
Hopefully this will go to the list this time *fingers crossed*.

Not quite. It is usually best to trim down what you quote to only the
points you are addressing in your reply. Things like the unsubscribe
message automatically attached to the bottom of every post and the PGP
signature on the message should certainly not be quoted (unless they are
relevant to a point you are making relevant of course).
