Apt-get SquirrelMail

I have just used apt-get to install SquirrelMail, and I'm having
problems understanding how it is intended to work when installed this
way.

Apt-get installed it into /usr/share/squirrelmail.  However I cannot
access it through Apache... I assume that this is because Apache is
not accessing it's directory.  Am I supposed to move this directory to
the /var/www directory, or link a directory in /var/www to the
squirrelmail, or create some sort of "virtual directory" in Apache to
point to the SquirrelMail directory?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
