kernel-image-2.6.10 still in unstable/cdrecord thingy in 2.6.8

First of all hi to everyone, this is my first post.
My question was if someone could explain to me why kernel-image-2.6.10
is still not available in testing. I've only recently upgraded to sarge
and realised the ide-scsi related problems.

I also found the following transcript[1] of Cdrecord-Clone 2.01.01a01
output:
Warning: Using badly designed ATAPI via /dev/hd* interface.

I think that's just plain outrageous! I've been reading up on the whole
fuss between Linus Torvalds and Jörg Schilling and definitely agree with
Linus' view. (Should say here that I'm everything but a savyy hacker myself)
I can also understand Schilling's intention that he just wants to keep
internal stuff out of his program so it's more portable but I just think
the price he's willing to pay is much to high.

Well, enough of that. As far as I know the policy on packages moving
from unstable to testing is that the package in unstable has to have at
most an equal number of bugs of a certain priority as the one in
testing. But isn't the above mentioned a severe enough discrepancy to
consider moving 2.6.10 up?
Or has this got something to do with the hopefully imminent
becoming-stable of sarge? (being optimistic, I know =))

Cheers, Roman.
