my main gripes with it is that it doesn't follow latex structure. Although it
can export to latex, it works with it's own native format, so documents can't be
collaborated with people who don't use texmacs. It does look nicer then lyx
other then that, and looks easier to work with as an equation editor for latex
then with lyx (although both support pasting and copying as latex, and lyx
together with latex-preview will run the equation through latex so you can see
exactly how it will come out).
