RE: Recomended motherboard



Possibly cruise the motherboard sites and look for Linux docs and drivers that are suplied with the motherboard.

So far I have not found mainstream boards of recent generations not to be Linux compatible.

You've got it backwards.  Pick several motherboards you like and then 
check and see if you can get them working with the Linux kernel.

For instance, you might have problems with the on-board nic or sata 
chipset.

Same with printers.
