RE: Irregular crashes (freezes) on Sarge

Hi and thanx for your swift answer!

>You can try for one removing all the kernel modules that you don't
absolutely need (video, sound, apm. acpi,
>etc.) ... what kernel modules are loaded?
>Nothing in dmesg?

These modules are loaded (hold your breath

ipv6
bcm5700
hw_random
amd74xx
pciehp
shpchp
pci_hotplug
floppy
parport_pc
mousedev
tsdev
psmouse
pcspkr
evdev
ohci_dev
usbcore
quota_v1
capability
commoncap
ide_generic
ide_core
ide_cd
cdrom
rtc
ext3
jbd
sdrmod
aacraid
sata_sil
libata
scsi_mod
unix
font
vesafb
cfbcopyarea
cfbfillrect

In dmesg I find nothing of interest (AFAIK). Except perhaps for a message
concering highmem. Its not a highmem-enabled kernel. It only supports 896MB.
But then again, this aught to be more than enough..!
