I _strongly_ suggest you de-install mailscanner, `apt-get --purge \ remove mailscanner`, do an `apt-get update; apt-get -f install`, and _only_ if that finishes without any errors whatsoever to re-install mailscanner with `apt-get install mailscanner`.
