I remember that, in 2002/3 when KDE 3.x was first released in Debian,
there were problems for some users moving from 2.2->3.x, or
kde.org packages -> official Debian packages;
almost all of the problems were resolved by removing ~/.kde, and
starting the desktop configuration over.
This is just to help make this information easier to find in the case
that this migration problem is still an issue.
