Sorry spelling mistake was mine. default is spelt
correctly, here is the lilo.conf again :

boot=/dev/hda root=/dev/hda1 install=/boot/boot-menu.b map=/boot/map delay=20 vga=normal default=Linux image=/vmlinuz label=linux read-only image=/vmlinuz.old label=linuxold read-only optional And here is the print out from running a test
(sbin/lilo -t)
Added Linux *
Skipping /vmlinuz.old
The Boot Sector and the map file have *NOT* been
altered
that doesnt soun good does it? any ideas it is
something wrong with my lilo.conf??
