In woody I solved the problem by apt-get remove discover
then you need to remove the link and build a new one:
# rm /dev/cdrom0
# rm /dev/cdrom
# ln -s /dev/scd0 /dev/cdrom
or whatever device you had in ls -l /dev/cdrom0
You can then delete /cdrom0
