Re: How to run GUI application by telnet ?

Thanks a lot Bill. That works.
I have another problem, would you like to help more? :)

I installed GDM yesterday and I found I can use GDM XDMCP chooser to login the Sparc workstation, but only in a separate tty and in full-screen mode. When I run " GDM flexiserver in Xnest ",i.e. "/usr/bin/gdmflexiserver -n", and select XDMCP chooser from GDM login screen, Xnest window closed and exit. How can I login the remote workstation in Xnest? (I am in Debian unstable, and all installed packages were downloaded from Debian official site.)
Thank you so much.

If it is a stock Solaris build, you can probably open up a remote X
session to the workstation. On your Debian box run the following command
as root or with sudo:"X :tty8 -query <HOSTNAME>" (replace <HOSTNAME>
with the name of the Sparc workstation).

Whoops, I made a typo on that command. The one above is what you would
type if you wanted to run a single X session on tty8. To run your regular
session on tty7 and a remote on tty8 run:

X :2 -query <HOSTNAME> tty8
