No sound with Flash

I have had this problem for a while, but since I don't use a lot of Flash sites, I haven't worried about it. A recent apt-gt upgrade installed a new Flash, however, and I thought I would check out the sound. Still no go.

I can play audio CD's with no problem, and I can do 'cat filename.au > /dev/dsp' and get results, but Flash is totally silent.

I am running Sarge with kernel 2.4.24-1-k7. I am not using ALSA.
The output of lsmod is:

I am guessing that I have some configuration messed up, somewhere, but I don't know enough to know where to look. Any help will be appreciated.

Marc
