Well, if the only way would be to use another terminal, I'd rather stay
with gnome-terminal and set the encoding to ISO-8859-2 (and then simply
run slrn-pl inside). Maybe I'm spoiled by Mutt and its send_charset
option too much, but I hoped console newsreaders grasped the UTF-8
idea already... Hm, now as I look at it, it seems that tin with its
mm_network_charset and vi-editing might be what I'm after.
