Maybe /dev/ttyUSB*, or /dev/ttyACM*. But not all USB modems are
compatible to the drivers included in the kernel, maybe you have to
install one to make it work.

Check <http://www.xfree86.org> (Support/Documentation) to find out which
driver/server you need.
