AW: More on installation

<Re needing to download other stuff... that first CD contains the most
<commonly required packages, but there are 8000 or so packages and 6
<more CDs. You can get by with what's on the first CD but you probably
<will want to download other stuff. Fortunately, once you've got your
<internet connection active, apt-get makes this painless. You only
<download what you need, not the whole of the other CDs.

Best way to do that is the point when the installation routine asks you if
the cd is the main source for your installation! I always say no, choose ftp
and then the network setup pops up. After that point every package is
downloaded from the net (ftp or http source), regardless if it's on the cd
or not.

Make sure to add more then one source to the apt-sources just in case a
server isn't reachable.

But only do this if you're connected to the internet with dsl, or similar.

Greets,
Simmel
