I think they (Belkin) must have quality control issues.  Mine is a solid
mouse and keyboard performer with Debian, FreeBSD, Win2k, and OpenBSD, but
other people have had problems with the same setup.  Weird.  I wonder if
using the optional power supply would've made a difference?
