Well, the ones that only give you a choice of Windows are just
retarded and you shouldn't bother doing business with them.  The
latter?  So what.  Ask them if they'll credit you for the part if you
need to switch a part for a Linux compatible one.  Unless they're
name-brand prefab systems, they're probably going to be fairly cool
about it.

Buying from Tiger Direct would be clueless.  They're a well known
spamhaus that also sells your address to everybody on the planet.  See

They're already getting that.  More companies are willing to release
specs to any OS developer who needs them to make a driver.
