Hi Alex,
floppys must be 110% to work, so I make a script that 'Works for
me'(tm)!.
useage: ddverify.sh myfile.bin
----------------------------------
IMG=$1
echo computing md5sum
SUM=$(md5sum $1)
echo formating floppy
mformat A:
ERR="not done";
while [ "$ERR" != "" ]; do
echo checking for badblocks
ERR=$(mbadblocks A: 2>&1)
done
echo imaging floppy
dd if=$1 of=/dev/fd0
echo computing floppy md5sum
SUM2=$(md5sum /dev/fd0)
if [ "$SUM2" == "$SUM" ]; then
echo image good
else
echo image bad
fi
-------------------------------------
HTH, YMMV,
