As I have said, I have the same problem. I don't know if this has something to 
do with that but when I try to enter as root (only root) at the Font 
Installer applet in KDE Control Center I get an error stating: "File does not 
exist and folder is not writeable." I don't know what this dialog refers to 
and how I can fix this problem.
