Hey, how 'bout that, it really does. I just went ahead and installed all
the packages (only 3) available from that source and it Just Worked.
Tuxracer actually works, I tried America's Army and it looks good too.
Now I just need to figure out how to keep this laptop from overheating
and shutting down :-)
