You can get dynamic dns ip assignment from another box behind the router, 
that's easy to do.
You can also get appliances that suppor this (netgear is pretty solid, but 
careful of their wireless).
Or you can look at installing smoothwall.org or ipcop.org onto a PC and using 
that PC as your firewall.
