It tells you if you have a certain knowledge beforehand on local
font servers and when to use or not to use them. If you don't
have this knowledge it is a confusing comment - it makes you
assume that some font server is needed, because otherwise why is
the comment there in the first place?
I will file a wishlist bug and suggest that the comment be
clarified.
