Verizon seems to have done some "upgrading" to their system recently. I had similar problem with PC set up firewall/router a few weeks ago. I ended up replacing the PC with Linksys BEFSR41 cable/dsl router. My son found a number of messages on recent problems with verizon dsl. One suggested solution is to add 'default-asyncmap' as an option to the dsl-provider file. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&threadm=f7d9cd84.0303141606.389efbf5%40posting.google.com&rnum=6&prev=/groups%3Fq%3D%2522verizon%2Bdsl%2522%2Blinux%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26safe%3Doff%26scoring%3Dd%26selm%3Df7d9cd84.0303141606.389efbf5%2540posting.google.com%26rnum%3D6 -- Jerome
