No need to re-install to get ew packages or fix depends. You can use
'dselect' or 'aptitude' to add new packages. In this case 'apt-get install
libc5 ldso' will work. It may take some time and learning the various
Debian tools but it is not necessary to even reboot your system in almost
any scenario, exceptig new kernels.
