dpkg --remove returned error exit status 1.
I know this has probably been addressed b4 but I'm a humble newbie to debian.
I can no longer install any packages with apt-get as every time I try I get the following
message from dpkg:
Removing nethack ...
/usr/X11R6/bin/mkfontdir: failed to create directory in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc
dpkg: error processing nethack (--remove):
subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
nethack
dpkg --remove returned error exit status 1.
I am using 2.2.17 kernel if that helps.
Thanx
Toby
