I think it's a good idea to use something like that in
/etc/apt/preferences so that the latest version of stable
and testing is used:

Package: *
Pin: release a=stable
Pin-Priority: 900

Package: *
Pin: release a=testing
Pin-Priority: 900

Package: *
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 200
