PHP GD2 problem

Hi all,
any one managed to get FreeType 2 and GD 2 working properly with php on
woody ?

I'm getting this error
Warning: imageftbbox(): No FreeType 2 support in this PHP build

I have FreeType 2 and gd 2 as well as php4-gd2 packages installed.

How can I correct it ?
