apt-get upgrade question

Having recently installed 3.0, I decided to stick with testing and did
apt-get update followed by apt-get upgrade

This produced quite a lot of errors of the type:-

Get:13 ftp://ftp.dkuug.dk testing/main xfree86-common 4.1.0-17 [547kB]    
              
Err ftp://ftp.dkuug.dk testing/main xfree86-common 4.1.0-17               
              
  Unable to fetch file, server said
'/pub/debian/pool/main/x/xfree86/xfree86-common_4.1.0-17_all.deb: No such
file or directory.  '

My question is: have I done something wrong? If not, what is the correct
procedure now, given the error messages?
