Hi all

I have a 30GB HD and i decide install debian (with BF2.4 floppies) in the first partition.
There is my HD now:

device Start cylinder Ending cylinder Size (MB) FS
hda1                 0                          1215                10,000        ReiserFS
hda2              1215                        2431                10,000        FAT-32 LBA
hda3              2431                        3586                  9,500        FAT-32 LBA
Unused          3586                        3649                     500        Will be Swap

hda1->No OS (yet)
hda2->Win98
hda3->No OS , only files

The base system installation was finished successfully.

Now the problem !
When i try to make my system bootable ,LILO doenst install in MBR.
The error msg "Your linux partition is above 1024 cylinder ...blablabla"
Why?
My Linux partition start at cylinder 0!

Even more curious is that my first partition that lilo cares about is at cylinder 5296 and lilo works fine. Shot in the dark, my first partition starts at 1, not 0. Try that and see if it makes a difference...
