Internet Crashes

Hello Everyone,

I have recently setup a Debian box to act as a webserver/firewall.

I have 2 network cards in the box. One is a Realtek 8029 and the other is a D-Link 530TX. I have both cards up and running and can access the Internet from the Linux box as well as the network.

Now for the problem.

After about 12 hours the Internet decides to stop working. I can see no traces of errors or mishaps in the syslog and not quite sure where to look now.

Once the Internet crashes, if I try 'ifdown eth0' and 'ifup eth0' it still doesn't affect anything, but when I reboot the computer everything is fine.

Any thoughts or ideas on what could be causing this??
