I don't know diddly-squat about rsync either, just rsync'd the mini-cd
woody last week... but try:

rsync <source> <destination>

so

rsync people.debian.org:~hertzog/debian-cd/woody-isolinux.iso .

(If that is the correct path, and it is indeed rsync-able...)
