Use 'K' and 'J' (both shifted) to move up and down without skipping
deleted messages. (This makes more sense if you're used to vi.) It's
possible to map the arrow keys to that if you prefer.

If it's just the "Include message in reply?" question, use 'set
include=no'. If it's something else, tell us which questions you get -
it should be possible to disable any of them.
Search for 'ask-' in the mutt manual, as all the questions you get will
probably be options whose defaults are ask-yes or ask-no.

Took me three days to get used to it at all, having finally got fed up
with pine. Now I have trouble using anything else.
(Not sure about the IMAP stuff - the only IMAP folder I use with mutt is
my main inbox at work. 'bind index G imap-fetch-mail' is useful there to
give me a keystroke to explicitly check for new mail - the default
binding for that key checks mail on a POP server.)
