RE: pcmcia
I have installed 2.4.17 kernel and the pcmcia modules for that kernel.
Unfortunately, the card is still not working. On the debian-users newsgroup
some people noted that you need to have yenta_socket installed for 2.4.x
modules and i82365 for 2.2.x
On the other hand, some people wrote that by changing yenta_socket to i82365
for 2.4.x modules, their cards started working. I had i82365, but when I go
into modconf it won't let me load that module (installation fails). I
changed the entry in /etc/default/pcmcia to read yenta_socket, but still the
card is not running.
If I do a pcmcia status, the response is: cardmgr is running. That is,
there are no errors.
Any ideas off of this info?
