i know of someone whose dialup was configured to use a tool number that ended
up costing over $200, which earthlink initially refused to pay. it took 3
months to get that situation resolved. the same person's mail account was
trashed on another occasion, and their response was "these things happen."
they didn't even offer to refund the monthly charge. based on that, i'm
waiting to hear of distinctly favorable experiences before i'd ever recommend
earthlink to anybody.
