Re: telnet unable to connect



Not sure if this helps, since I am just now installing debian for the 1st time. If the file /etc/securetty exists, delete it, and root should be able to telnet in to that machine. (from RH6.2-zoot)

apt-get install ssh

the nice thing about ssh is you can use ssh-agent to eliminate logins
