i am sorry i must correct one mistake:

                   ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ i meant man syslog.conf      
		   (look at /etc/syslog.conf)
> see man cron and man crontab (look at directories /etc/cron.daily, etc...)
> (also look at directory /etc/rc2.d ...syslog,klogd....)
