I suppose you have non-SMP machine.  On SMP machine, it does not allow
me to load module.  I even compiled apm as module, does not work either.

Anybody successful turning off power on SMP box?  Please send me .config
by e-mail to me.  I will investigate difference and file wishlist bug
report.
