HELP: need help with NVIDIA kernel module

Hello
i am using a precompiled kernel: kernel-image-2.4.9-k6 and wanted to
add the nvidia kernel module, so i downloaded the nvidia-kernel-src
package and followed the instructions....

installed also the kernel-source-2.4.9 and launched the compile....
first of all il launched a make oldconfig in the kernel architecture....

now it seems i am not anymore able to compile myself a kernel :( all the
kernels i do produce terminate with a kernel panic on boot (some thing
about killing the interrupt handler lately...)

so first point where do i get the conf file for the debian ready kernel?
then after compiling the module complains about :
 modprobe NVdriver
 /lib/modules/2.4.9-k6/kernel/drivers/video/NVdriver: unresolved symbol
 __pollwait_Rb9dcb6e1
 /lib/modules/2.4.9-k6/kernel/drivers/video/NVdriver: unresolved symbol
 proc_root_Re4ac33ad

 etc etc etc.....

any chance to get this running?
