What you should do is if you're runnin the pre-compiled kernel
image package and it works is extract the kernel-source-2.4.9 tar.bz2
into /usr/src... then copy the /boot/config-2.4.9-k6 as .config in the
source tree... Then you will want to run make-kpkg to build a new
kernel-image-2.4.9 package to install... I believe I used the --initrd
and --added-modules nvidia-kernel-1.0.1251 options to it... build the
kernel_image target for your kernel and then modules_image for the
the nvidia kernel module package to install... Should work with that
as that's all I recall havin to do on my AMD Athalon here at work with
a nVidia Geforce2 MX 32MB grafx card...
