No,
not any PC-compatible printer will do. There are some so called
GDI-printers wich are desigend to work with Windows only. Although
there are some reports that some of these work with Linux. Lexmark
is AFAIK the only copmany that offers Linux printers for some of
their printers (have a look at their web-page), most of the HP
should do. If you're not buying a PS-printer (what I assume) you
need a programm, like ghostscript, magicfilter ... that converts PS
to the printer specific descriptions, so have a look wich printer
they support.
