Re: Kernel Compile Fails



Dear Scott or any experienced debian linux user:

before I change boot loader, I did get error when dpkg -i kernel-image



depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.2-k7/kernel/drivers/net/wan/comx.o
/boot/initrd does not exist. Installing from scratch, eh?

I searched debian site, modutils contain depmod, I installed it
and ldconfig

reinstall kernel image, still get same error
